Master thesis project: New antibiotics against multidrug-resistant bacteria University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart)

Our group at the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart) aims at the identification of new compounds acting against multidrug-resistant, pathogenic bacteria in Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains and members from the Enterobacteriaceae. These compounds are designed to inhibit a bacterial sodium pump which does not occur in eukaryotes but is essential for energy supply and virulence in these Gram-negative pathogens. In our laboratory, we use a broad spectrum of molecular biological, biochemical and spectroscopic methods in combination with structural biology. Please visit our website for details:

We are now looking for motivated Master students with a Bachelor´s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics or related disciplines to join our team. We offer comprehensive training, supervision and support.
